In the Geo Time Tracker dashboard, you simply search for an address or find it on the map. You can then draw a circular or polygonal shape around the job site and save it. You can set a radius to define how precise the boundary is. This geofence is then active for all assigned employees.
No, not with our system. We are aligned with UK GDPR principles of data minimisation. Our app does not track employee location continuously. It performs a single location check only at the moment an employee presses the clock-in or clock-out button. There is no tracking during their shift, on breaks, or outside working hours.
If an employee tries to clock in while outside the defined boundary, the app will show them a message indicating they are not within the approved work zone and will block the clock-in attempt. This encourages them to move to the correct location before they can start tracking time.
Yes. You can create an unlimited number of locations, each with its own geofence. You can then assign specific employees or entire teams to one or more locations, ensuring they can only clock in at the sites relevant to their work schedule.
